The Dunamis Super Meet Series runs on the Dunamis indoor track - America’s Fastest Surface - a state-of-the-art, banked track where qualifiers and champions are made.
Our February, 2018 meet at the LakePoint Champions Center in Emerson, Georgia, saw four days of outstanding competition in high school, college, youth, masters and open divisions. Tamari Davis set three girls' national freshman class records in the HS division and several other nation-leading marks were recorded in events from the 60-meter dash to the shot put. The Saturday session at LakePoint also featured an incredible salute to Georgia's great Olympic legends, such as Mel Pender and Kevin Young.
The series’ inaugural meet, held at The Ford Center at The Star (Dallas Cowboys Training Facility and World Headquarters) in Frisco Texas, saw thirty-seven college teams and over a thousand high school athletes rally to race. Six men and seven women qualified for NCAA D1 championships. Five men and four women qualified for NCAA D2 championships. Californian Tara Davis broke a thirty-six year-old long jump record formerly held by Olympian Carol Lewis, with a jump of 21 feet and 7.5 inches.
Dunamis brings together athletes of all age category and all background, whether affiliated or not, in celebration of athletic endeavor, and for the joy of competition.
